Meet Shota Renwick
Hawkwon Music Faculty
Shota Renwick is a multi-instrumentalist dedicated to helping children build confidence and joy through music. Shota started piano at age 4 and has a degree from the prestigious New England Conservatory. He brings both expertise and a caring, encouraging approach to every lesson.
He has worked with music students in school and camp settings, from Ashley Elementary’s after-school program to the Westcliffe Jazz Camp with the Colorado Conservatory for the Jazz Arts. These experiences have shaped his ability to meet young learners where they are, making lessons fun while steadily developing strong technique, creativity, and discipline.
Confidence, artistry, and long-term growth
As an active performer in New York City, Shota also brings real-world artistry into the lesson room, inspiring students not only to practice, but to truly enjoy making music. Parents can feel confident knowing Shota will nurture their child’s skills, spark their love for the piano, and help them excel.
His students learn to read music with confidence, build healthy technique, and develop a strong sense of rhythm, expression, and listening from the very beginning. These layered skills are essential for long-term student success.
