🎹 Meet Teacher Sarah
HAWKWON MUSIC FACULTY
Sarah Sebaoun is a passionate pianist whose love for music shines through in her teaching. She holds both a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Arts in Music from Hunter College and brings a strong musical foundation together with a warm, calm, and encouraging approach that helps children feel excited about learning.
Sarah has taught at Joyous Music and Vienna Music, working with students of all ages and levels.
Outside of teaching, Sarah performs regularly in New York City as a solo and chamber musician. She has also performed internationally in Italy and Norway, bringing that same energy and artistry into the lesson room.
A warm, expressive approach to teaching
With her background in both piano and opera, she helps students see music not just as notes on a page, but as a way to express themselves.
She believes every child can succeed at the piano, no matter their starting point, and focuses on sparking curiosity and building confidence along the way. Sarah inspires students to appreciate music as both a skill and an art form.
Sarah teaches in English and French.
