🎹 Meet Teacher DaUn

HAWKWON MUSIC FACULTY

DaUn Chang is a warm and enthusiastic piano teacher who loves working with children. He holds a Bachelor of Music from Hunter College, where he studied piano with Dr. Geoffrey Burleson, and is pursuing his Master’s in Music Education at Columbia University.

With several years of private teaching experience, DaUn also works as a piano-vocal accompanist at Hunter College and has served as a substitute teacher in kindergarten classrooms at PS 234 and IS 289. Parents appreciate his natural ability to connect with young learners and make lessons both fun and meaningful.

In 2022, DaUn was selected as a teaching artist for the Noel Pointer Foundation, where he further developed his skills in inspiring and guiding students.

Joy, growth, and clear communication

His teaching helps children build strong, healthy piano technique while fostering a lifelong love of music.

Joy, growth, and clear communication are at the heart of every lesson.
